Job Summary
Provides clinical nursing support for Williamson Health Medical Group by communicating clinical information to patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies. Duties include accurately recording patient medical history and vital signs, giving immunizations and injections, counseling patients on health issues, ordering and maintaining clinical supplies/pharmaceuticals, coordinating referrals and consultations, triaging phone calls and patient portal messages, obtaining prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing, maintaining quality assurance for office lab, assisting physicians with office/surgical procedures, observing universal precautions, proper lifting techniques, and coordinating with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Formal Education / Training: Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Workplace Experience: One year of experience in medical office environment
- Equipment and Skills Training: Must be competent in the use Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audioscope, business phone and various oral and injectible medications.
