Job Summary
Assess patients' needs using the nursing process and utilize multiple data sources to determine health problems and functional status. Perform point of care testing, accurately plan nursing interventions, and modify the Nursing Plan of Care based on patient response. De-escalate crisis situations with verbal and non-verbal techniques while prioritizing patient care needs and promoting least-restrictive alternatives. Administer medications safely using BMV scanning, communicate clinical status during team rounds and shift reports, and delegate care interventions to MHSs. Provide leadership in organizing patient care, managing medical emergencies, and conducting critical incident debriefings. Participate in training for RNs and MHSs, establish therapeutic alliances, and teach patients and families about recovery goals.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse [RN - State License]
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- one year medical/psychiatric experience
