Job Summary
Registered Nurse Discharge Lounge responsible for nursing assessments, admissions documentation, medication reconciliation, patient/family education on conditions and follow-up, and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions. Provides education on medical condition, treatment plan, and potential side effects; facilitates discharge documentation and referrals for ongoing care; coordinates with Nursing Administration to prioritize workload; demonstrates time-conscious prioritization in a fast-paced acute care setting. Requires BSN, active RN license (or compact), BLS on hire with ACLS within 6 months, and minimum 2 years of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of school of nursing required. BSN required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- BLS (American Heart Association) on hire ACLS certifications within 6 months of hire
- 2 year (minimum) acute care experience required.
