Job Summary
Assess patient conditions during admission and each shift, identifying changes in status and reporting safety risks or signs of abuse. Develop care plans, administer prescribed medications, and monitor therapeutic responses while documenting all care in patient records. Perform procedures as ordered, manage pain assessments, and teach patients and families about treatment plans, medications, lifestyle changes, and disease prevention. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic treatment plans, oversee care delegation, and implement evidence-based practices for continuous quality improvement. Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to ensure continuity of specialized care.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
