Job Summary
Perform patient assessments during admission and each shift, identifying status changes and safety risks. Develop care plans, administer prescribed medications, and monitor therapeutic responses. Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, diet, and lifestyle changes. Manage care teams by providing oversight and delegation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary groups to coordinate holistic treatment plans. Evaluate and customize care delivery to meet quality measures and support recovery. This role is based at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. The position requires a current Texas RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification, with a preference for a BSN.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
