Job Summary
Assess patients and families across hemodialysis and medical surgical areas, recognizing deviations in physical, emotional, and behavioral status to prioritize nursing care. Develop individualized care plans that involve patients and families in establishing goals, while demonstrating technical competence in dialysis procedures and clinical documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement programs and services, evaluating care effectiveness and ensuring compliance with CMC policies. Requires New York RN licensure, acute care experience, and BLS/ACLS certification. Located onsite at 101 Harris Dates Dr, Ithaca, NY, with a pay range of $39.63 to $48.18 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Acute care experience in one of the following; Medical, Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Intensive Care, Critical Care, and/or Emergency Room
- Currently licensed in the State of New York as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Will obtain BLS during introductory period
- ACLS (*can be acquired during orientation period)
- Onsite, 101 Harris Dates Dr Ithaca NY 14850
- Less than 25% Travel
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard)
- may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions
- stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers)
- sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time
- must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Hemodialysis nursing experience in an acute or chronic setting preferred
