Job Summary
Assess and record patient status upon admission, organize health data, and identify immediate care needs. Validate diagnoses with patients and the healthcare team, document individualized plans of care, and initiate discharge planning at admission. Provide evidence-based patient education, prioritize nursing interventions, and review health data to update the plan of care with measurable goals. Communicate patient progress to the team and present relevant information at multidisciplinary meetings. Schedule is Saturdays, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. BSN required or ADN with commitment to obtain within three years; current Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- ACLS
- PALS/ENPC & TNCC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- TNCC
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
- Emergency Communications
- Registered Nurse Certified Pediatric Nurse
- Certified Emergency Nurse
