Job Summary
Assess patient needs, plan care, and implement nursing regimens while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Utilize the nursing process to address biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning needs, adhering to infection control standards and Joint Commission safety goals. Recognize and prioritize patient care issues, delegate to ancillary staff, and assume charge nurse responsibility as assigned. Maintain competency through mandatory in-services and performance improvement initiatives while supporting the Magnet model. Requires current state registration, BLS certification, and one year of acute care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state registration
- Knowledge of current nursing, medical, and health trends and practices in the rendering of patient care
- BLS certification (through American Heart Association)
Desired Qualifications
- One year of acute care nursing experience
