Job Summary
Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments while ensuring proper storage, security, and disposal of prescription drugs and biologicals. Record time spent on individual treatments and enter key data into computer systems including EMR. Implement infection control, universal precaution, and safety policies; notify physicians of refusals, non-compliance, or adverse reactions. Maintain medication carts, refrigerators, and rooms in a clean, organized state. React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations. Perform other duties as assigned. This role offers competitive hourly pay, flexible scheduling, and on-the-job training within a supportive geriatric care community.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current, active license as an RN
- Current CPR Certification
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language
- Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement and weight measurement
- Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long term geriatric nursing care, preferred
