Job Summary
Administer complex patient care in an inpatient setting requiring timely, intense interventions to stabilize advanced illness or injury. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret electronic displays for cardiac rhythms and pressures, and respond to life-saving situations based on nursing protocols. Assess patient conditions, develop individualized care plans, and delegate tasks to team members while documenting all care consistently. Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to manage the unit, serve as a preceptor or educator, and advocate for patients and families. Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies, attend staff development, and participate in quality improvement committees. Requires current Florida RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC depending on unit assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department
- Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas
- NRP required for Neonatal Intensive care Unit (NICU)
- Minimum one year of RN experience
