Job Summary
Assess, intervene, and collaborate with interprofessional teams to provide primary care for neurosurgery, orthopaedic, plastics, and trauma patients, including higher acuity needs at Level 1. Deliver patient and family education while advocating for Person-Centred Care principles and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre values. Manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment using excellent assessment and communication skills. Requires current CNO registration, B.C.L.S., and a B.Sc.N. preferred. Temporary full-time role with on-call rotation available.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registration with CNO
- Current B.C.L.S.
- Surgical experience with skills in Pre-Op and Post-Op care and Patient/Family teaching
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment; able to manage multiple demands and changing priorities
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and health care professionals
- Excellent assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred Care approaches and principles
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc.N. preferred
