Job Summary
Prepare patients for cystoscopic and urodynamic procedures, assist with bladder instillations, and perform catheterizations during these surgeries. Execute urological operative techniques while managing urodynamics cases in a clinic environment fostering ongoing learning for staff, students, and patients. Maintain current Ontario registration and BCLS certification, leveraging expertise in urology and recent surgical oncology nursing experience within a multidisciplinary, patient-focused care team.
Required Qualifications
- Current Ontario Registration
- Current BCLS certificate
- Completion of post-graduate O.R. certificate
- current or recent, related O.R. experience
- Expertise in Urology
- Expertise in the performance of urological operative techniques
- Experience in Urodynamics
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc.N.
- Nursing Oncology certification
- Recent Surgical Oncology nursing experience
- Excellent communication, organizational and teaching skills
- Ability to work effectively in a Patient-Focused Care environment within a multidisciplinary team, including students
- Demonstrated interest in personal professional development
- Demonstrated commitment to Person-Centred Care approach and principles
