Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Progressive Care unit. Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identify and report changes in status. Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider and document care in the patient medical record in a timely manner. Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses. Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients. Collaborate with medical providers to support an unparalleled patient experience and advocate for patients and their families. Ensure safety and quality of care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients, with emphasis on post-operative and pre-operative nursing care.
