Job Summary
Registered Nurse CVICU travel assignment across Ascension acute care hospitals. Responsibilities include expert management of ECMO, Impella, IABP, and VAD for patients in cardiogenic shock; specialized post-CABG, valve replacement, and transplant patient care including chest tube management; precision titration of inotropes and vasopressors guided by Swan-Ganz catheter data and cardiac output monitoring; and rapid intervention for post-op emergencies such as cardiac tamponade, arrhythmias, or acute hemorrhage. Requires RN licensure with compact or state license, a nursing diploma, and minimum one year of acute care experience. Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support Certifications required within specified timelines, with travel assignment duties across local and national facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Registered Nurse license (compact RN or state RN license) prior to start date
- One year of RN experience in an acute care setting
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) within 6 months of hire/transfer date
- BLS Provider within 30 days of hire/transfer date
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Applicable license and/or certification per contract requirements
