Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians while conducting cardiac monitoring to identify and treat dysrhythmias. Monitor hemodynamic status, interpret results, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to revise care plans based on patient response. Delegate work to non-licensed staff, communicate with physicians and resource nurses, and provide education to patients and families. Facilitate discharge plans and maintain a safe, comforting environment. Requires 1 year of acute care RN experience, current Texas RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
