Registered Nurse Critical Care (ICU) – Float Pool

Registered Nurse with a BSN preferred to join the ICU Float Pool. Responsibilities include assessing the patient's physical and psychosocial condition, developing and communicating a plan of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, evaluating outcomes and readiness for discharge, and providing education to patients and families. Serves as a preceptor to new staff and as a charge nurse. Requires 1 year of acute nursing experience and a CT RN license; BLS is required. Demonstrates competency in neuro patient care, neuro assessment, airway management, care of trached patients, suctioning, ventilator management, and involvement in neuro procedures. Additional duties include planning education and collaborating with the healthcare team, ensuring high levels of service and patient-centered care. BSN preferred and experience in critical care or emergency settings is noted.
