Registered Nurse Critical Care (ICU) – Float Pool

Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions continuously, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate interventions with the healthcare team. Implement and evaluate care strategies, plan patient and family education, and function as a preceptor or charge nurse as needed. Demonstrate competency in neuro patient care, airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, ventilator support, and equipment use for halo braces. Provide supervision to non-RN personnel and ensure smooth departmental operations while adhering to state practice standards and organizational values. Float between Heart and Vascular Cardiac ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown units based on staff distribution and patient acuity.
