Registered Nurse Critical Care (ICU) - Float Pool

Registered Nurse in Critical Care (ICU) Float Pool in Stamford, CT: Provides comprehensive nursing care on a Neuro-focused unit, assesses and documents patient conditions, plans and coordinates individualized care with the healthcare team, supervises non-RN staff, acts as charge nurse as needed, and precepts new staff. Requires neonatal ICU experience (1 year), CT RN license, and BLS; BSN preferred. Responsibilities include developing and communicating a plan of care, patient/family education, discharge planning, and ensuring high level of service per unit policies. Expertise in neuro assessment, airway management, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal), care of tracheostomy patients, ventilated patients, halo brace care, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrates competency in patient care, education, and performance improvement within a fast-paced ICU setting.
