Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Requires a Tennessee nursing license and a nursing diploma or degree. Role supports various units including telemetry, critical care, oncology, and pediatric/ adult emergency care with certifications (BLS, ACLS, NVCI, TNCC/PALS/ENPC as applicable) within specified timeframes. Experience preferred in adult and pediatric emergency/critical care settings; standard nursing duties involve assessments, care planning, patient teaching, medication administration, documentation, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- For 3rd floor telemetry unit: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months
- For float pool and float pool extended: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For critical care: Basic arrhythmia within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; AACN, CCRN or CCP within two years of hire
- For Oncology: ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- For Adult Emergency Room: TNCC Preferred; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Medical Surgical: Pediatric in-hospital experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months
- For Pediatric Emergency Room: Pediatric emergency experience preferred; PALS within 6 months; ACLS within 6 months; NVCI within 6 months; ENPC or TNCC within 6 months
