Registered Nurse - Critical Care - Full Time-Nights (Antioch)

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission, utilizing observation, communication, and examination skills to identify problems, needs, and nursing diagnoses. Plan individual care, interventions, and patient teaching while documenting accurately and timely. Administer medications and solutions safely in accordance with hospital policies, handle patient transport, and reassess patient conditions to modify care plans. Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff based on patient population needs ranging from neonates to adults.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
