Job Summary
RN in a 13-week contract at a correctional center in Newport, VT. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process for patient care, assessing and planning treatment programs, administering medications and treatments, obtaining diagnostic tests, assisting with minor procedures, counting and documenting controlled substances, accurate nursing documentation, and effective communication with nursing staff, providers, and other healthcare personnel. Must maintain facility policies and protocols. Certification requirements include an active RN license and CPR/BLS certification. Requires a graduate from an accredited nursing program and at least some clinical experience; correctional setting experience preferred.
