Job Summary
Registered Nurse (Contract) at CVS Health Minute Clinic. Ancillary Nurse role featuring clinical duties such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, vaccination administration, vital signs, EKG readings, retinal imaging, and point-of-care testing within clinic operations. You’ll support patient intake, wait-space management, and potential float to home clinics, while performing duties under supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Responsibilities include blood draws, sample processing, lab tests education, chaperoning as needed, and contributing to a positive patient experience. The position emphasizes independent work, clinical skills, and proactive patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment. The home clinic assignment may involve coverage at other clinics to meet business needs. CPT/verification tasks include maintaining specimen integrity, operating EKG devices, retinal imaging, and CLIA-waived testing, with an emphasis on safety and universal precautions. The role also entails clinic operations support such as supplies management and cleanliness to ensure optimal patient care. Pay range listed: $26.88-$58.40 hourly; full-time hours 30-40 per week; benefits and incentive opportunities described.
Required Qualifications
- A Registered Nurse License must be full, active and unrestricted in the State for which you are applying (This included a territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia)
- One year minimum related work experience in a healthcare setting required
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system required
- Proven ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing required
- Verifiable current/active hands-on CPR Certification (Basic Life Support and or Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- Desire and demonstrated ability to work independently
- Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility
- Proven and demonstrated clinical skills that include: documentation of care, medication administration, infection control precautions, assessing patient educational needs, physical assessment, obtaining vital signs, care coordination
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous Experience working in a Primary Care Clinic, Urgent Care Clinic, Emergency Room or Primary Physician’s Office
- Prior experience in Phlebotomy or Specimen lab or collection site
- Experience with Epic
