Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will plan, manage, evaluate and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients and families within an inter-professional practice and primary nursing model, with a focus on care for patients with dementia and older adults, including education for patients, families and providers, participation in inter-professional rounds, and supervision/mentorship of students and new staff on the geriatric rehabilitation unit.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program (preferred)
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Ability to perform the essential clinical duties of the job
- Ability to lead others and manage challenging interpersonal situations
- Effective communication, problem-solving and decision-making
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Computer literacy in word processing and Electronic Patient Record (EPR)
