Job Summary
Serve as a liaison between patients, the care team, and the Patient Access Team to remove barriers to same-day or immediate care. Conduct telephonic and face-to-face triage to assess patient needs, determine emergency treatment, and coordinate appropriate appointment scheduling. Initiate emergency treatment when necessary, administer medications per approved routes, and document all actions in the EMR. Summarize assessment data to make triage decisions communicated to clinical providers and respond to codes and emergencies in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, re-stock supplies, and participate in departmental planning and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as an RN in the State of North Carolina
- Functions within the NC Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act
- Current BCLS certification
- American Heart or American Red Cross HealthCare provider only
- Three years of experience working in a healthcare facility
- Current and Unrestricted North Carolina Nursing License
- NPI number

Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric Experience strongly preferred
- Five years' experience in healthcare facility
- Experience working in a FQHC/CHC or similar organization
- Bilingual preferred
- Bilingual preferred with cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population
