Job Summary
Administer medications, manage IV lines, and triage patient concerns in an operating room setting for fertility procedures. Assist with oocyte retrievals, cyst aspirations, and surgeries while monitoring post-op recovery and maintaining accurate health records. Prepare patients for specific treatments and communicate laboratory results to the physician. Participate in staff development and continuing education to maintain expertise in fertility nursing. This role supports individuals and couples at CNY Fertility, a renowned center offering advanced treatments like IVF and egg freezing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one year of technical training
- Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
