Job Summary
Conduct patient care, triage, and procedures in a clinical and operating room setting for CNY Fertility's IVF, IUI, and egg freezing services. Perform phlebotomy, collect and transport specimens, manage IV lines, administer medications, and educate patients. Monitor fertility treatment cycles, assist with embryo transfers, and perform transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds. Supervise licensed practical nurses and medical assistants while maintaining health care records and communicating laboratory results. Participate in staff development and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one year of technical training
- Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
