Job Summary
Administer medications, perform treatments, and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for Adult Day Care participants and school children. Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Home Health Aides, and Certified Nursing Assistants across multiple program locations while ensuring compliance with Florida Nurse Practice Act and AHCA regulations. Provide clinical leadership during medical emergencies, coordinate care plan development, and assist with regulatory surveys and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain current nursing documentation, monitor participant health status, and support leadership with continuity of nursing services.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse license
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience
- Ability to act quickly and calmly during stressful and/or emergency situations
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with a diverse population
- Ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships
- Ability to take initiative and meet objectives
- Ability to physically assist participants in care such as pushing and manipulating wheelchairs, bathing assistance, dressing assistance, transferring assistance and during emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information of participants and staff
- Successful completion of background process which includes: Local background check, Level 2 clearance (FBI, FDLE), clear TB test, medical clearance, drug test and reference checks
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with dementia care and chronic disease management
- Knowledge of AHCA regulations, ASPEN Standards of Care, and Florida Adult Day Care licensing requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing experience (geriatric, adult day care, long-term care, rehabilitation, or community health preferred)
