Job Summary
Coordinate and evaluate home health services by supervising nurses and aides to ensure quality within the plan of care. Initiate and review clinical content, diagnoses, and medication statuses from client records before assigning direct care staff. Conduct client visits, perform in-home supervisory visits, and maintain confidentiality of records while working closely with the electronic medical record to ensure compliance. Appraise staff performance, assist with orientation, and provide training sessions and coaching support to enhance professional development. Handle on-call duties after work hours and participate in problem-solving processes for EMR education needs.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- 2+ years of combined public health nursing experience and progressive professional responsibilities in public health nursing
- 3+ years of combined public health nursing experience and progressive professional responsibilities in public health nursing
- 1+ years of experience in home health care
- Current and Active BLS Certification
- Knowledge and experience in trach, vent, g-tube, and pediatric care
- Ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others
- Ability to identify and evaluate personal strengths and weaknesses
- Customer-service oriented
- Working knowledge of, or proficient in, Microsoft office applications
- Working knowledge of, or proficient in, electronic medical records
- Ability to handle on-call, which is after work hours
- Must live in the Spring Hill area
