Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Educator for Mother/Baby and OB/GYN provides education and training to clinical staff with a focus on maternal care during and after pregnancy, lactation, and perinatal mental health. Responsibilities include guiding staff to implement Best Care practices, mentoring on care plans, promoting evidence-based practice, leading curriculum development and ongoing staff development, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and coordinating education offerings. Requires BSN; MS/MSN preferred; RN license; ability to travel to offsite education sites; 12 hours weekly with varied schedule.
Required Qualifications
- BSN degree required
- RN license (valid) - compact multistate license acceptable or temporary permit during licensure
- Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 3 months of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Driver's license required
- Ability to travel to offsite locations for education delivery
