Job Summary
Assess patient conditions during admission and scheduled shifts, promptly identifying and reporting status changes. Perform procedures, monitor patients for therapeutic responses, and document care administration thoroughly. Administer prescribed medications, taking appropriate action for unintended responses. Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Maintain current licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and hold BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year of RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position
- Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
Desired Qualifications
- Hospital nursing experience
- Masters in Nursing
- National Certification in area of specialty
