Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) working full-time nights at Jefferson Health in Northeast Philadelphia. Responsible for applying the nursing process, coordinating with patients and designated care partners, delivering evidence-based care, educating patients and families, ensuring safe and effective outcomes, and participating in safety and quality initiatives. Requires RN licensure in PA, specialized nursing education, and the ability to work within inter-professional teams to develop care plans, perform patient assessments, document health information, and support discharge planning. Preferred BSN and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma in nursing (or equivalent)
- Active RN license in state of practice (PA)
- Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care
- Knowledge of nursing process and clinical judgement
- Ability to convey respect and collaborate with patients and families
- Effective communication and interprofessional teamwork
- Knowledge of medication administration and discharge planning
- BLS/CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross)
- Ability to delegate appropriately to team members
- Willingness to participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Educational and clinical practice knowledge for patient education
