Job Summary
Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while administering medications, treatments, and injections. Collect health histories, take vitals, perform phlebotomy, and handle lab specimens for processing and state reporting. Collaborate with physicians and the lab to update treatment plans, explain results to patients, and counsel families on care. Manage clinical inventory, assist with appointments, and respond to patient emails and calls. Document information professionally using electronic medical records and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely patient visits in a multicultural, LGBTQIA-affirming clinic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Word
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience with patient centered care
- Complete understanding of the healthcare privacy laws as outlined in HIPAA
- LGBTQ+ cultural competency
- Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
- Punctuality and consistent attendance
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, professionals, and patients from a variety of demographic backgrounds and identities
