Job Summary
The Registered Nurse provides and supervises quality patient care within the Nursing Process, applying instruction, discharge planning, and patient education. Responsibilities include explaining procedures, administering medications, preparing equipment, managing Code C situations, interpreting EKGs, monitoring and intervening for arrhythmias, assisting ventilatory support, maintaining ACLS/BLS certifications, documenting changes in patient condition, assessing vital signs, responding to life-threatening events, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and active Illinois nursing license with ACLS/BLS certifications.
