Job Summary
Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments by strictly adhering to clinical protocols to ensure maximum patient safety. Continuously assess patients for expected symptoms, allergic reactions, or hypersensitivities, and take immediate action to preserve well-being. Practice impeccable handling of cytotoxic agents and manage specialized infusion technologies, including PICC lines, PortaCaths, and programmable pumps. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to manage comprehensive care plans from initial treatment through discharge planning. Deliver oncology therapies while championing safe clinical environments at Ascension Erskine Rehab Center in Anderson, IN.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Certification specializing in Chemotherapy credentialed from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- Required professional licensure at time of hire
