Job Summary
Oversee in-office nursing care including patient triage, immunization administration, and procedure assistance. Prioritize rooming new and complex patients by obtaining health histories, verifying medications and allergies, measuring vital signs, and ensuring clean, stocked rooms. Support providers with specialty procedures, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and routine laboratory tests while supervising medical assistants. Perform patient discharge summaries, educate patients on medications and follow-up, and collaborate on daily huddles to maintain clinic flow. Manage inventory, sterilize instruments, transport specimens, and respond to medical emergencies in full compliance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state where nursing practice will occur or multistate license in nurse's resident state
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association within six (6) months from date of hire
- Must be computer literate, especially with Microsoft Office products and be able to use the Internet
- Must be able to maintain good inter-personal relationship with co-workers and other members of the health care team and the organization
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance to organization's policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications

- Two years nursing experience in an outpatient clinic, preferred
