Job Summary
Registered Nurse Charge Nurse supervises nursing care on the unit, coordinates care with the nursing team (CNAs/CMTs), administers medications and treatments per physician orders, conducts ongoing resident assessments, develops and adjusts plans of care, and ensures regulatory compliance and safe operations. Requires RN licensure, CPR, and prior gerontological/long-term care experience; strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills are essential for managing staff and coordinating care for residents in a senior living/nursing home setting.
Required Qualifications
- current state RN license
- CPR certification
- nursing specialty certification desired (optional)
- 2 years experience in a long-term care setting (preferred)
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- experience with Electronic Medical Records (preferred)
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and regulations
