Job Summary
Provide leadership and coordinate unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care on the Cardiac Unit. Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to or performing performance evaluations. Assess daily patient care needs to develop and distribute assignments, collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care, respond to complaints through established channels, and provide input for hiring, training, and staff development. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner during day shift coverage from 7am to 7pm.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- One year of registered nurse experience
- State of Work Location: Missouri
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
