Job Summary
Provides direct and indirect nursing care in a correctional ambulatory care setting, utilizing the nursing process to meet the psychological, psychosocial, and emotional needs of inmate-patients, and functions as a team leader as assigned. Responsibilities include patient care and preparation, medical equipment management, patient education, administration, and comprehensive documentation and reporting within an organized care framework. Maintains infection control policies, adheres to HIPAA and PREA regulations, and collaborates with security personnel and health care team to ensure safe, professional care in the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Must conform to the security standards of the institution where employed.
- Must be Hands-On CPR certified.
