Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department: Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, including rapid assessment, triage, trauma response, interpretation of labs/Diagnostics, administration of medications and IV therapies, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain EMTALA and HIPAA compliance, document accurately and timely, educate patients/families on care and discharge instructions, and report suspected abuse/neglect per regulatory requirements. Requires state RN license and current BLS; ACLS and PALS are required within set timelines; minimum one year of ED or acute care hospital experience preferred; BSN preferred; CEN preferred. 12-hour night shifts, Lewiston, ME area facility.
Required Qualifications
- Current state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred
