Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department providing direct patient care, rapid assessment and triage, response to trauma and life-threatening conditions, administration of medications and IV therapy, interpretation of labs and diagnostics, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Responsible for accurate documentation, patient/family education, and ensuring EMTALA and HIPAA compliance. Shift is full-time nights (7p–7a) in Lewiston, ME, requiring strong clinical decision-making, familiarity with ED standards, and a BSN-preferred pathway with ongoing certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
