Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. Direct assistant utilization, collaborate with physicians and families to coordinate delivery, and document patient responses to interventions. Participate in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects while utilizing evidence-based research to guide practice decisions. This afternoon second-shift role operates from 1 pm to 11:30, four days a week. A $5k sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with specific exclusions for internal rehires within one year. The position requires a BSN (or ADN with a commitment to obtain one within three years) and current Illinois RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- Commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role (for ADN candidates)

- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
