Registered Nurse, Cath Lab

Initiate and continue nursing care for patients before, during, and after cardiac procedures. Administer drugs and medications, perform hemodynamic monitoring, and set up all cardiac procedures including dye tests, balloon interventions, and stent placements. Exercise clinical judgment to analyze patient conditions and determine appropriate actions within standard practice specifications. Provide specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator leveraging cutting-edge technology. This role supports 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist at North Alabama Medical Center's unique cath lab unit capable of treating heart attacks within 75 miles of Florence.
