Delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner while assessing assigned patients, evaluating plans, and documenting nursing care. Modifies treatment plans based on patient responses and reports symptoms, vital signs, and diagnostic test results to physicians and the team. Prepares patients for examinations and procedures, safely administers medications, and maintains accurate records per regulatory guidelines. Nurtures a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and uses best practices for discharge planning. Serves as a preceptor to assist new staff in acclimating to the healthcare environment and provides constructive feedback. Adapts to changing work demands and safely operates medical equipment within the scope of practice.
