Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the cath lab using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer safe, accurate, and timely medications and IVs while creating a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and coworkers. Communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, patients, and family members to ensure understanding of informational matters and maintain complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Assume responsibility for the nursing components of patient/family/significant other educational processes and evaluate understanding. Utilize communication skills and interpersonal relationships to promote a cooperative work environment and build relationships that foster collaboration. Take personal initiative for performance and professional growth while adhering to hospital standards and unit care protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
