Job Summary
Coordinate and implement care for adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab as circulator, scrub, or monitor. Perform holding by ensuring correct patient prep and timely history/physical documentation. Utilize critical judgment to analyze assessments, administer medications, and report abnormal information to physicians. Safely perform hemostasis with or without vascular devices, routinely enter patient orders and charges, and provide care for critically ill patients independently. Educate patients and families on perioperative procedures, escort families to cardiology or cath lab areas, and conduct point-of-care testing as needed. Maintain constant alertness and safe manner while performing other duties as assigned. Requires two years of RN experience in CATH LAB, IR, or ICU, with BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications. Variable shift schedule with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Two years' registered nurse experience in CATH LAB, IR, or ICU
