Job Summary
Manage residents' everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care, while creating and following long-term care plans and clinical assessments. Take charge of the care centre on certain shifts to make appropriate clinical decisions and deliver planned nursing care in partnership with residents and their families. Provide guidance to caregivers on shift and build trusted relationships with residents and families. Work as a casual nurse at Kenepuru village, available often at short notice for a variety of shifts.
Required Qualifications
- A NZ Registration
- a current Practicing Certificate
- A genuine interest in working with older people
- an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead
- ability to remain calm under pressure
- be emotionally resilient
- Good communication skills
- the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
