Job Summary
Manage residents' everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care, while creating and following long-term care plans and clinical assessments. Take charge of the care centre on shifts to make appropriate clinical decisions and deliver planned nursing care. Provide guidance to caregivers and build trusted relationships with residents and families. This casual role requires NZ Registration, a current Practicing Certificate, and the ability to take the lead under pressure. Availability at short notice for various shifts is essential. Weekend additional penal hourly rates apply, and full uniform is provided.
Required Qualifications
- A NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate
- A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure and be emotionally resilient
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people, from residents, families and your colleagues
- As a casual you will need to be available often at short notice for a variety of shifts
