Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and families, initiate and reevaluate plans of care, and utilize health data to determine nursing diagnoses. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, counsel patients and families on meeting nursing needs, and maintain accurate clinical notes. Communicate with physicians and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to address medical and emotional requirements while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Requires current licensure and one year of nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current licensure to practice in state of operation
- 1 year nursing experience
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years nursing experience
- Experience in hospice or a similar setting
- Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care
- Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
