Job Summary
Provide specialized case management and care coordination for patients with special health care needs. Review outpatient consultations and referrals for medical necessity, cost effectiveness, and appropriateness. Collaborate with PRC staff, providers, and external facilities to ensure care aligns with CMS criteria. Maintain statistical data on consults, monitor deferred referrals, and support continuous quality improvement. Work Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm, excluding federal holidays. Join a team within Indian Health Services' Fort Peck Service Unit focused on innovative solutions for clients.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as an Registered Nurse
- case management experience
- Purchased/Referred Care experience
- similar experience
- Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice a Registered Nurse in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Ability to obtain an IHS public trust clearance
