Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization in the Telemetry department. Utilizes standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; establishes effective relationships with patients and families; develops and implements individualized care plans; educates patients and families on measures to promote health and recovery; collaborates with inter-professional team to ensure culturally sensitive and ethical care; demonstrates leadership by mentoring nursing colleagues and students; applies evidence-based practice to patient care and maintains a safe, patient-centered environment. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and possession of RN license in Illinois and Basic Life Support certification.
